Pulling power from a middle of the run outlet

I am installing under cabinet lighting in the kitchen and need to provide power to it. I would like to pull the power from one of the outlets; the problem is all the outlets are middle-of-the run.

I would like to know if it is possible to pull power from an outlet that is middle-of-the run and not affect anything else on that circuit.

If possible how would I do the wiring? Currently there is 1 black, 1 white, and 1 bare incoming wires and 1 black, 1 white, and 1 bare outgoing wires.

The ultimate goal is to provide power to the dimmer, which provides power to the under cabinet lights.

I live in Fairfax county, VA

Thanks in advance for all your help

The wiring to the receptacles in kitchens and dining rooms cannot serve lighting loads.

You will need to find another source of power for your undercabinet lighting.

Yes, you can use plug-in lights on the small-appliance branch circuits.
