how to run multiple devices off one plug at same time

What should i look for when trying to run multiple fans off of one ac adaptor? should they be parrallel or serial hookup?

Three things:
-- All fans must operate at the same voltage as the adaptor and should be wired in parallel.
-- The combined current draw in milliamps or "ma" should not exceed the adaptor's rating. (Add the fans' individual ratings together.)
-- If the fans are DC, the adaptor should be DC. If the fans are AC, the adaptor should be AC.
