Wiring a ceiling fan

I'm installing a ceiling fan with two wires into a ceiling box that has three wires. There are three switches on the wall. What do I do with the three wires, since there are only two wires on the fan?

Was anything installed there before? What do the 3 switches control? How many and what colors are the wires from the ceiling? does this fan have a remote?

There was a ceiling fan there before. Yes this fan does have a remote. The fan has black, white and blue wires, while the ceiling has black, white and red wires. The three switches control the fan, the light and one of the outlets on the wall.

Typically a 3 wire + ground cable is run from the switch to the fan. Black will be the fan control, red will be the fan light control.

Since you are using a remote you could just connect the remote black to the ceiling black and white to white and ground to ground. Cap the red at the ceiling with a wire nut.

If you turn the switch off the remote will not work,
