Ground
Folks:
I just purchased a older house. The inspecter said the outlets in one bedroom were not grounded. He did not removed any outlets but plugged a tool in that told him this.My questions
are what does this mean,is this dangerous and how can I fix
this? Also is this common in older homes? I would appreciate
and and all replies. Thank you in advance

I am assuming from what you say that the outlets have a ground lug - they look like they are grounded outlets?
If this is the case then possibly the ground is open somewhere or maybe someone put grounded receptacles in a box that has no real ground.
Did he say what an acceptable correction would be? Perhaps you could just put the correct ungrounded receptacles back in or use a GFCI or find the problem if a real ground wire is present.
You need to pull a receptacle and see what is going on.
