How to wire ceiling fan when box has 6 wires

Ceiling fan wiring instructions don't correspond to the wires in my ceiling box. I am expecting the ceiling box to have two black wires and one white wire.

My box has 3 pairs of wires coming into it, 1 black and 1 white in each pair. One wire from each pair (2 black, 1 white) are twisted together and tucked up into the box. The fan that was there was connected to the remaining black wire, and the 2 white wires are twisted together.

The ceiling box is tied to a wall switch. The replacement fan I want to install has a light, and I want the fan to be controlled by the chain, and the light by the wall switch.

According to the instructions, I am looking for 4 wires coming out of the ceiling box: 2 black, 1 white, and 1 ground/green (bare). What I have is 2 white and 1 black. What am I connecting the fan wires (1 blue, 1 black, 1 white) to?

Connect the black wire from the fan to the two black and white wires that are bundled and tucked together (this is hot all the time and forms a switch loop with the white wire). Connect the blue wire from the fan to the single black wire. White to white, ground to ground.
