Installing a sub panel box

Hi i have a 200 amp main breaker box that has a 60 amp double pole breaker in it that feeds a outside 60 amp disconnect box that is not being used. My question is on the back of my house i have a 12' by 16' room that has never been wired but has a GE powermark gold 125amp load center box (Main Lug) mounted between the studs. I'm wanting to run a upright freezer 110, washing machine 110 and a dryer 220 along with 3 lights and 6 outlets. The 60 amp disconnect box is about 15 ft from the 125 amp box can i connect them and is the 60 amps going to power these items. Will i need to scrap the 125 amp main lug box for one that has a main breaker in it?

The sixty amps should be enough to run what you want. However, most likely the disconnect is only wired with 2 hots and a grounding conductor. It is probably not setup to run 120 loads. If you can post the number and colors of the wires in the disconnect you can be a better idea of what needs to be done.

The wire going into the disconnect box from the main house panel is a thick black coated wire from what i could see i think it has 6 awg on it. I looked inside the disconnect box and the black coated wire has a red, white, black and a bare ground wire.
