3 wire AFCI?

3-Wire Circuit
''An AFCI should not be connected to a three-wire circuit that contains a shared neutral
unless the AFCI is approved for the application''.

Does it mean no switched outlets in the bedroom without a special AFCI
Thank you

No. It means an AFCI should not be used with a multiwire branch circuit (shared neutral) unless it is specifically listed to use it as such.

an AFCI is not a GFCI.

Switched outlets are just fine on either AFCI- or GFCI-protected circuits. The three-wire circuits which you are referring to are those which are powered by a double pole breaker.
