In wall timer

What is a good digital self adjusting timer to use? I need to control an outdoor porch light from an inside switch. I want a good quality one that will last. Thanks

Always have had good luck with Intermatic products. I think this is what your looking for: Intermatic 24 Hour In-Wall Timer - EJ500C at The Home Depot
However, my brother had one that failed when his home was hit by lightning but, then again, I think I would fail too!

Agreed, I've had good luck with the Intermatic timers. I have lost one as well to an apparent surge, but ah well.

I'd recommend splurging and going for the more expensive one ($30 versus $20). The more expensive one has a battery and controls an internal relay which allows it to control magnetic and inductive loads like low voltage lighting or compact fluorescent.

Being that they are on for a number of hours every night, a CF on your porch light might be a good investment!
