Enclosed Switch

Wondering what the restrictions are on placement of a 30 amp enclosed switch? Proximity to door?

I want to mount a switch for my garage heater next to my panel but the problem is the panel is near a door that goes out to my back yard from my garage.

Also are there height restrictions?

Any location that is accessible is okay. Some areas have a minimum 24" height in a garage. I would keep it under 6' 7" if you intend to count it as the required disconnect for the appliance.

Okay thanks. The vertical distance is not an issue and it will end up being 4-5 feet off the floor just not much wiggle room on either side.
