BX cutter and cable ends

I really need to replace some really old BX runs in our basement

Anyone know of a good armor cable cutter, my bx must be made of steel or something my
greenle barley cuts through and I wind up mostly having to unwind it.

also what do pros do at the ends when there is no room to insert a red devil I have been filing
and being extremely careful when running into boxes, off course I have been running new
when ever possible but not always possible. the insulation inside appears to be really think
and on a whole not falling apart yet, but old 1950 or so, with screwy backward runs and all.
had no choice but to tackle this.

Use a 32 teeth-per-inch hacksaw blade

I like to use a Roto-split to cut the sheath.

I try to screw the redheads into the cable end by twisting back and forth.

No what? that's what I have just started using in some special cases, my cutter works
fine for the new stuff and the reds go right in like butter.

I just posted while I was taken a break, real quick responses thanks guys
