GFCI Breaker/GFCI receptacles

our 2 1/2 baths share the same line for the receptlacle outlets. The line has a GFCI breaker in the service panal. When we bought the house the inspector said it needed GFCI outlets at all of the outlets in the bathrooms. Is there a problem with changing the receptacles to GFCI?

More proof a few housing inspectors never even audited the class Electric 101. You do not need GFCI outlets. you need GFCI protected outlets (receptacles). Adding GFCI receptacles isn't necessary. In rare cases having two GFCIs can even cause problems.

Ray, good answer. The thing he has to do to make it right for this inspector is to label the receptables in the bath GFCI protected. Then he should be in code as long as that circuit is on a GFCI breaker.

Thanks!
Jim

Well said Ray, shame that some are so ill-informed.
