Question GFI outlets

I currently have two regular outlets in my bathroom that are on the same circuit by themselves. I would like to make these bathroom outlets safer by having GFI protection. In order to do this, do I ned to replace each of the regular outlets with GFI outlets, or can I just do the first one on the circuit or just the end one?

You can protect both by installing a GFCI receptacle as the first device. When installing it, connect the downstream hot and neutral to the LOAD terminals. The wires that bring power in connect to the LINE terminals.
