Anybody familiar with Intermatic P1353ME Multi Purpose controller?

I'm trying to install this thing to control my 120 volts low voltage 2 speed pump. On the side of the pump it says to connect line 1 to common and connect both low & high speeds to line 2. I see on earlier posts that you have to wire up this timer with a seperate power source. I wish it would mention that more clearly on the manual! Anyway I know I had it hooked up wrong for sure. I think I need to hook up the hot wire to # 1 & the common wire to # 2 on the timer. I also think load 4 & 6 go to the low & high speed connection on the pump. How do I hook up lines 3 & 5????

Number 3 and number 5 go to number one.

Or an easier way is that incoming power "hot" goes to #1 with a jumper to #3 which also jumps to #5.
