Power went out, breaker not tripped

I plugged in a new treadmill for the first time into an outlet. After running the treadmill for about 30 seconds the power in only that room went out. Light, and outlets. None of the breakers were tripped, I reset them all anyway just to check, nothing. Any advice? Thanks.

sounds like a bad connection in one of the outlets. I bet they are back wired [push in's] .

In addition what is the amp rating of the treadmill? If this is a basement there may be a GFCI somewhere in the house that feeds those fixtures. It could be anywhere. Outside, garage, a bathroom, kitchen. Check for the GFCI first. In some cases posters have swore there was no GFCI till a few days later and a lot of looking for a bad connection they found a forgotten GFCI behind furniture or a box that was never moved.

If this is an old house the receptacles may be fed from a light Jbox. I have seen high amperage equipment burn connections apart in the Jbox for the light. Not high on the probability list but something you may need to check.

If you get to checking the backstabs you should move any there are to the screws. It could be in the last good or first bad fixture.
