Plugtail outlets

Plugtail outlets
has anyone used P&S Plugtail outlets? I saw them in my book awhile back but never ordered any due to cost...looks to me like pigtail connectors in a molded plug that plugs into the back of a special outlet

Haven't used/seen them but seams kind of interesting. What is the cost per device? What would be even better is not having to connect the tails and just push in the wires into the yellow block. Hmmm...Maybe I should go talk to P&S competitors.

In fact when I was in Wisconsin and yes I did used few of them and the key issue is speed of time to hook up in final stage espcally this is true with large projects I know they cost more than our hevey duty verison but they justified by labour saving.
Not only P&S use that Leviton used as well { but diffrent pattern }
One nice thing about them it little eaiser on your hand.
Merci,Marc

Have seen ads for them but don't know about pricing. I guess they would be great for trimout with less skilled labor. Trouble would come during a service call if you don't have another plugtail device.

They claim it will speed up close up time. Wondering if the cables are energized when the plugs are inserted into the receptacles. Too expensive for my blood. I know if you have 1000 of them to do it could save on labor (maybe), but remember you've already paid for someone to wire up the pigtail. That same labor could go to wiring the receptacle. 37 seconds versus a couple of minutes.......or 37 seconds added to your couple of minutes.
