Any Sparkies in The House - Fishing Wiries - Recessed Cans

I have Lightolier Hats in my ceiling. These are new construction hats ....

Took a look trying to figure out how I could ~open~ them up to get access to the ceiling underneath.

Suffice to say, I did not make good progress.

Just short of me cutting a hole in the ceiling for access & or multiple holes, any ideas how I could possibly used these high hats in my ceiling as a *hole* for me to stick my hand in and attempt to do a lil fishing of a wire I need to pull..

Normally there are 3 screws that hold the housing to the frame. If you remove them you should be able to access around the fixture and also the junction box.

PC speaks the truth. There will be 3 - 1/4" hex head screws inside the can housing. Remove them and the housing will pull down. All cans must be able to come down because the junction box must remain accessible.
