Swimming pool light question

my swimming pool light is on a GFCI circuit breaker in the main panel, which is about 15 yards from the pool. Is this adequate, or should I add a subpanel near the pool? thanks for any help which you can provide

Either option is acceptable. It would be best to have all pool equipment (lights, pumps, etc) fed from the same panel. If you do choose a pool subpanel, beware there are additional safety requirements beyond the normal subpanel job. Conduit burial depth and grounding are stricter.
