ground wires to 2 outlets in 2 gang box

ground wires to 2 outlets in 2 gang box

New installation, using EMT and steel boxes. Running insulated, stranded #12 THHN wire, (including ground).

To try and reduce the number of ground wires in each wire nut (#1 ground wire into box, #2 ground wire out to next box, #3 ground wire to bonding screw in 2 gang box, plus the one(s) to the outlets).

Can a single ground wire be run from the 'bunch of ground wires in the wire nut' to the ground screw on the first outlet in the box, then on to the second outlet in the box? The ground wire would be continuous.

If not, I am having a hard time finding green wire nuts that will work with 5 #12 wires.

Use whatever size wire nut is listed for the number and size(s) of the wires. The wire nuts do not have to have a green color.

5 X #12 AWG conductors use the grey wirenut { one size bigger than red one is } it easier to use the grey wirenut but for red one it possible if pretwisted then put it on { depending on what brand it is }

You could run the incoming ground around a ground screw in the box and leave a tail after the screw to connect the outgoing ground and a longer pigtail for the two devices. This way you only have 3 wires to deal with.
