went to change plug..and then no power at all from that circuit

My father was changing an old pug in his bathroom and popped the breaker..the breaker reset..but still no power to any of the plugs or lighting on that circuit. I checked all of the plugs and switches on that line and no shorts were found..any suggestions or solutions??

Please and Thank you

Your problem isn't a short it is an open. Often in old houses power "spiders" out from the ceiling fixture. Try replacing all of the wire nuts in the ceiling box. I wouldn't be surprised to see a wire burnt in two.

Above assumes pre-GFCI wiring if you do have GFCIs anywhere they could be the cause.
