Gas stove and range hood on same circuit?

Wiring a kitchen and am running out of available circuits on the panel.

Can I run a circuit for an outlet for the electrical needs of a gas range, then continue the wiring up to hard wire into the exhaust fan?

Is a 15A, 14/2 circuit sufficient for this or should I run 12/2 protected by a 15A breaker?

In the US this may be determined by local codes.

Wait for an answer from one of the Canadians on this forum, but in the meantime you might want to post your hood and range wattage requirements. There are some monster range hoods that might require a dedicated circuit even if code permitted a shared circuit.

Again, not sure about the difference in CEC, but here if it's just a hood with a fan and light, (and if the mfr doesn't specify a dedicated circuit), it can share a circuit. If it is an over-the-range microwave with a built-in hood, then it requires a dedicated 20A circuit.
