Transfer panel

Does anyone know anything about this panel?
Here is the info I was able to obtain:
It is a Square D QO series pre wired generator panel.
Model QO48M30DFGPW

Has a 4 wire 120/240 30A twist lock connector.
It has the two 30 Amp. Main breakers.
Two 20 AMP. 1 pole branch circuits using two full size breakers. (QO120)
Four 15 Amp. branch circuits using QO tandem breakers (QOT1515)

The 20 Amp. circuits are up gradable to 30 Amp.
The 15 Amp circuits are up gradable to 20 Amp.
There is also a breaker tie to convert to a 120/240 V common trip.

Generator Transfer Panel

I was wondering if this is an OK unit for me to hook up into my house.

As long as you don't have more circuits than the panel will allow for branch circuit breakers AND you have (or plan on having) a 240/120 volt generator rated at no more than 7500 watts peak output.

That might work, but cheaper easier and more flexible way to go would be an interlock kit. The kit retails for about 60 dollars and are fairly easy to install. Here is the square D kit, and most of the major panel OEMs have one for thier specific panel.
