Hi Kent. Welcome to the forum.

First, suspect a switched outlet. Is is possible that this outlet is controlled by some switch??

Second, suspect a GFCI problem. This is especially indicated if the outlet is in a bathroom, kitchen, outdoors, garage, utility room, or basement. Is the outlet in any of these places??? Look for an outlets with "test" and "reset" buttons on them and press all the reset buttons.

Third, suspect the breaker: Although you say that all other outlets in the room are okay, how about all other outlets in the house??? The next most likely thing to suspect is that the breaker is really tripped (even though you don't think it is). Turn off and then back on all the 15-amp and 20-amp breakers in your panel. When you turn the off, press the firmly to the off position.

There are lots of other possibilities. But try these first and let us know one way of the other. No sense wasting precious bytes of memory on this server until we see whether any of these three ideas work.

If you need to come back for more, specify as much as you can, such as whether anything has happened or changed, exactly where the outlet is, what else is on the circuit, what year your house was built in, etc.

Good luck.
