Outside light switch

Is is acceptable to install a light switch outside under an in-use cover like this one?

It should be okay, but why not alter your search on the HD site to "weatherproof switch cover"? They show quite a few styles.

Do you already have a box setup like that or is this going to be a whole new install just for a switch?
Cause like these guys said, there are outdoor boxes with a cover that toggle the switch inside without opening anything.
Now the box you've shown is ideal for a receptacle, but if it's only for a switch you can also use one of these along with the appropriate box. It uses a standard switch.
