Question

I have a phone outlet in the kitchen and none in my living room. Now, I run a phone wire from the kitchen into the living room in order to have a phone there. The outlet in the kitchen is installed in a wall shared by the living room and the kitchen. This wall is made from drywall, easy to work with. I would like to keep the outlet in the kitchen and add one in the living room. Is this possible?
Thanks, Luave

Yes, simply get an old work box and cut a hole for it below
no the other side of the wall (don't install it yet), get enough telephone wire and fish it down from the kitchen jack
to the new hole in the wall. Run the wire into the new box,
and attach it to the wall. You the wire the new jack to the wire, then the new wire to the old jack.

Very possible and easy!!!

You couldn't ask for anything much simpler - if you want the new phone jack on that common wall. Just cut in from the LR where you want the new jack and run the wire. You should be able to attach the new wire to the old jack with no trouble.
