How to place a transistor the right way according to circuit drawing ?

I have this simple circuit I want to put together, but I'm not sure how to place the three legs of transistors the right way..

From how it looks, the transistors symbol looks like it indicates where the middle leg goes, and where the other two legs go, and I'm assuming that the round side of the transistor should be on the middle leg's side.

but I also know that you should test every transistor to find which leg is the base, emitter, and collector.

Anyone can correct me, and give me some pointers on how to place it according to symbol on circuit drawing?

Thanks in advance.

talking about this kind of transistor..

And this is my understanding on how it should be placed according to symbol.. which based on NOTHING.

The schematic symbol bears no relation to the physical device pinout. You will need to find out the transistor number, hopefully, 2N....
Finding the Base using a VOM is easy, the Collector vs Emitter, not so easy.

Thank you for responding..

Okay so I found out the B,C and E of the transistor. How to place it according to the symbol on the circuit drawing?

per the above schematic reference. base is the left lead, emitter is the arrow, collector is the top.
