power supply

I need a power supply for a surveillance camera in a remote location where there is no power lines available. I was thinking of mayb RV batteries? (do those need the car?) or some sort of sopar power?

You could use deep cell batteries (RV/marine) but it will depend on the power required by the camera. You do know what it requires?

A small solar panel and some NiCds could be enough if this is a small digital camera.

If you have to run a cable to see the video, the camera may be able to be powered through the cable.
