looking for IMR-18650E Rechargeable Lithium Battery

I'm looking for a IMR-18650E Rechargeable Lithium Battery for a Ryobi power screwdriver. The current one gave up the ghost, and Ryobi's solution is to throw away the tool and buy a new one! That's not an option that seems to make sense to me.

Anyone have a source for these, I come up dry in a search unless I want 50,000 of them!

Well, their price for the battery is $20, and $9 shipping. I can buy a new tool for $30, so that doesn't seem to make sense.

I have the same problem too only with a Milwaukee M12 battery out of warranty. The cells are very common in size and shape to those used in allot of other battery packs. I have liberated my replacements from a new surplus Sony laptop battery pack (Model: W2S500) I bought at an electronics surplus shop for $5.00 NIB. It has 8 of the cells in it, I only need 3 but it is good to have backups since I have one more cell that is going and may be out of warranty. Best part is that they are 2.2AH rather than 1.4AH. They likely will not last as long as the old cells in the high discharge service but for the price I can't loose. Just look on Ebay for a battery pack, they are cheap there.

I may have to do that, but I have to make sure I get one that has the correct cell in it. :-)

Samsung INR18650- 13P replacement

I have used the Samsung INR18650-13P to replace the Moly IMR-18650E used in 1st generation Milwaukee 12v packs- These batteries were problematic, Milwaukee later moved to Samsung batteries and rebranded the battery M12- Slightly less discharge current, than the batt Milwaukee now uses but works fine. Available from ebay merchant - comes 3 pack spot welded for approx $20.
