Another kitchen lighting question

I'm in the initial stages of a complete kitchen remodel. I'm considering adding above cabinet lighting at some point and I want to ensure that I have available electrical power.

The cabinets are staggered height, no soffit, with the sink and window in the center of the rows. The cabinets will have crown moldings on top so what I'm thinking is to place two receptacles in the wall, one on each side of the cabinet rows, at the very top of the cabinet level. The crown moldings would hide their presence. Then at some point I could either use 12v lighting with a plug in transformer, or direct ac attached lighting such as rope lights. Any issues or problems with this plan? Thanks

No that is a pretty common thing to do for kitchen lighting.

I am doing this exact thing for a customer as we speak. The only difference is I am retrofitting it. IE: lots of fishing.
