Drywall screws to secure metal boxes to studs/joists

Is there any reason why I can't use drywall screws to secure metal boxes to studs/joists? I have used them in the past since I kind of use drywall screws as my jack of all trade screws, but I recently started questioning myself as to whether there might be something wrong with doing that and wasn't really sure what the answer was.

As long as the box is secure I don't see any issues. You could also use Tek or sheet metal screws.

Inside on wood I use drywall or wood screws. Outside on wood I use deck screws. On masonry I use tapcons.
