plumbing pipes near receptacles?

hi folks –

I have an unfinished basement and I have an GFCI electrical outlet in a box fastened to the masonry block wall. The wires come down into the box through EMT from above at a joist. I need to move some of my plumbing pipes (3/4 inch).

I was wondering what are the rules for plumbing piping and other obstacles near a receptacle box? I guess obviously you couldn’t have anything right in front of the box blocking the receptacles. But, for example, would it be OK if you had a 3/4 inch water pipe riser, say a few inches left or right of the box ? Or is there some minimum distance you must keep away from receptacles?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
