pool pump hums and doesn't rotate then trips house breaker. wiring?

My pump worked fine last summer. I did have my entire breaker box replaced this past winter. Now when I flip the pump switch, there is humming and then shortly after the breaker in house trips. Is it possible that it is not wired right at the breaker box and I just need to swap the wires?

What is the pump voltage? Is it connected to a single pole breaker or a double pole breaker?

It could also be jammed or rusted stuck inside the motor.

Adding to the other replies, your pump could be seized causing an overload on the motor. I believe it is mechanical rather than electrical.

Adding to what the others have said have, you used the pump since the new breaker box was installed? If so definitely mechanical. In fact if this was a wagering site I'd put my money on mechanical. I just asked about voltage to eliminate it.
