Raco protect covers

I found this product from Raco that allows the boxes to be covered during sheetrock installation to avoid debris from landing inside the box or router bits from nicking the wires inside when scoring the outline of the box.

Has anyone used it?

Are they worth it?

Are there other products that do similar things?

I got a trial package of something similar that was made of plastic. The drywallers on the jobs I was on were pretty careful so I never tried them.

I also used some plastic ones once but they never really caught on with me. I keep a roll of 2" masking tape in my tool bag and hit the boxes with that once they're made up. It usually does good enough to keep the mud and paint spray out. It's very easy to edge them out with a utility knife and shop vac once the walls are finished.
