Garage Door Opener

Hi,
Not sure if this is the proper forum, but the closest I could find.

My Craftsman 1/2 HP Opener Lights don't work, both after opening and using the separate button on the wall control.

It does "click" which is normal, sounds like some kind of relay. Do you think there's an internal fuse? Or could some component be bad?

Thanks, Brian

Assuming the lights are good...make sure they are making good contact with the center tab in the socket. Unplug the opener before cleaning or bending the tab slightly to be sure. Do you a have a meter to read voltage at the socket when the lights should be on?

Yes, I have a multimeter, I'll check the voltage and get back to you.

Thanks, Brian

You're a genius

It was getting voltage. I bent the tabs a little and it works. There's only one small tab for the side of the bulb base instead of having the whole socket.

Thanks, Brian
