400 csed

Upgrading from 200 to 400amp.

will have existing 200amp and add new 200amp and new 125amp.

Going to have a meter mains type from SquareD, specifically the CU12L400CB with "Class 120 Manual Bypass" or the CU12L400CN with no Bypass.

Have a permit. Do I want or require a bypass?

Also, are lugs to the meter typically supplied by the utility or the homeowner? Its an option with SquareD

Thanks for any enlightenment.

You will need to get the list of acceptable meter equipment from your power company. This should also tell you whether you need the bypass also.

Typically, the proper lugs are supplied by the homeowner's contractor.
