Install furnace transfer switch - Reliance controls TF151W

Hello, I was thinking of having a 15 V furnace transfer switch (Reliance controls TF151W)installed so I could power a natural gas burning furnace by generator if the power goes out. I'm not an electrician and will be hiring one. There are multiple things on the circuit powering the furnace, my question is would i want the transfer switch installed near the panel and have all the lines powered by the transfer switch, or can/should it be installed on the furnace and only power that? It seems the basement and 1/2 the living room is powered by this circuit.
Thanks in advance!
Sean

In my opinion, I'd want a dedicated circuit to my furnace. The location of the transfer switch on a dedicated circuit could be anywhere you want it the way I see it. I don't believe there would be any code restrictions.
