Do I need to be concerned that the fan bearings will burn out if the ceiling isn't parallel to the floor? If so, are there any low somes (reasonably priced) fans that anyone can recommend? Thx!

I wouldn't worry about it. As much as they are run, wear isn't that big an issue. Cleaning the accumulated dust on the blades and in the housing every year will do much to keep it running.

You get what you pay for in a fan. Get the most expensive you can afford (Within reason). A $20 fan will sound like a $20 fan.
