Voltage conversion help

I need to step 120 single phase to 277 single phase and run at 1.5 amps. I have been able to find a step down transformer the company says can be reversed, but the highest amp rating they have is 1.25 amps. Can anyone direct me to a company/product that will do the job I need? Thank You. Bob

Is this for fluorescent lighting? Many ballast are multi-tap or self adjusting. If it is a fluorescent light a new ballast might be a better option.

A quick Google of transformer 277 gave many hits. Remember a basic transformer can generally be used either direction. It is the ratio that is important.

Hi Ray, No this is for a fan motor. I've spent quite a while looking through the first few pages of Google leads, but come up with light fixtures mostly. The one regular transformer I found is just not enough amps, so was hoping someone had a "super supplier" of transformers to suggest looking at. Thank you.

Odd I get many valid hits. You are using Google Advanced Search aren't you?

transformer 277 - Google Search

... this is for a fan motor.
Probably cost less to buy the correct voltage fan.
