Use 14 gauge 15' OR 12 gauge 25' extension cord for 15 amp miter saw?

Use 14 gauge 15' OR 12 gauge 25' extension cord for 15 amp miter saw?
I am doing quite a bit of work using my compound miter saw (15 amp), circular saw, and scroll saw. I have each plugged into a 6-outlet surge protector power strip 14 gauge with 6' cable. Only one saw is turned on at a time.
I have to use an extension cord. Which should I use and why? Does one have more resistance or not matter?

Start up amps? But both cord are rated 15A so why is the longer 12 gauge cord better? Does it have more or less resistance? Any more opinions and facts? Help a novice out.

Not sure why you have to have so many opinions. Facts are the larger cord will service you better. I do construction for a living and know my equipment well. I know what cords to use for which piece of equipment. Those are the facts. Run with it or lateral off.

I went ahead and did a voltage drop calculation:
14AWG@15' = 1.1% Voltage drop.
12AWG@ 25'= 1.2%
Also, Plug strips are not permitted to be daisy-chained or plugged into extension cords. Extension cords and plug strips are for temporary (90days max) installation and use only.
