Need help to wire a capaciter to a electric motor

HI, I've got a electric motor with 4 wires, 3 brown wires and one yellowand green wire. three brown wires have thre trgs on the edge, blue, brown, gray,

its a amp 3.8 rpm 2850 volt 220/240 motor, how can i do the wiring to the capaciter and what valtage capaciter should be? thanks, srijith100

Welcome to the forums!

I have moved your post to it own thread. It is always better to start your own thread rather then piggyback on another one.

Do you have a wiring diagram? That is the name on the motor? Please post everything listed on the motor nameplate. A picture might help too.

The cap should be at least 240 volts

Is this a gear motor? Seems a strange speed for a regular 60Hz motor. Is it a universal motor? What is it used on?

Thanks guys, Unfortunatly i haven't got a diagram. ill try to uplord a photo of it as soon as possible, no its not a gear motor. kust a single phase motor, rpm 2850. thanks

wiring for electric motor

Hi guys, thank you so much for your help, but still i work out about the wiring. finally i've managed to uplord some photos, hope it might help.

details of the motor are as follows,
Type - BC 2507/08
V 220/240
PH - 1
Hz 50
Wo 370
A 3.8
Rpm 2850
Ins Cl - E
Reg - Cont
Bs FRAME -B56
there are four wires coming out of the motor, blue, brown, silver, green/yellow.can some body advise me how to do the wiring for this motor, do i need a capacitor? Name:  IMG_5400.jpg

Seams to me that you might not need a cap. I would recommend contacting the manufacture of the motor for a diagram.
