Three way light switch

Do they make a three way switch, that can't be parked in the middle. I have 4 different lights in my house that are on three way switches. For some reason, my kids, think it is funny to park a switch in the middle, so the other switch won't work. I am at the point of start cracking butts. At night, the stairs to the cellar and upstairs are dark.

I was going to post a link to a site selling bullwhips but I decided that was more than a bit extreme.

You might be able to get some heavy duty, 20 ampere specification grade switches that have strong enough springs to prevent this from happening but they will likely cost a pretty penny.

Different discipline might be the better option. I'm certainly not the one to be giving advice on how to raise your children but I do know that threats without following through are a quick way to lose all respect from your children.

Wow, de ja vu. I didn't know anyone else had that problem. I had to trouble shoot a light problem for an elderly lady at church. Looked inside one switch (3 way) inspected it, moved to the next one. Three way, cool. Moved to the next one (4 way!!). All the way across the room was another switch which she couldn't remember were it was. It was parked half way with the same effect. Flipped the switch and all was well. Took nearly an hour to do all this. Why have so many switches in one room to control a kitchen light???!!!
Bullwhips....good one Furd. I had the stun gun site up
