Does the main breaker kill the power to the entire panel?

I am getting ready to install my afci breakers into my main panel and was wondering if there are areas that are still hot after flipping the main? I assume the two large wires feeding the main will remain hot but is there any other part of the panel that may still be hot? thanks

You're right. The two wires feeding the main breaker will remain hot until the power is removed upstream, but turning the main OFF should kill the power to everything else in the panel. I would test with a meter to make sure.
