Cool Wireandcabletogo.com...why so cheap?

Anyone purchase cable from this website? I need to run wiring to my shed and they offer THHN/THWN #8 & #6 wire the cheapest I have seen anywhere...I just hate to spend the $35 on shipping to find out you get what you pay for...if you know what I mean.

Thanks!

Those prices don't look so cheap to me unless you are comparing them to big box prices. Any supply house will usually beat those prices if you have an account and can buy from them.

I agree with Joe. For example, My local supply house has #2 THHN Copper for $1.09. That website sells it for $1.47, and I'm a cash customer.

If I was a moderator, I would remove the link the OP provided.

I agree they're overpriced. If I was a mod I'd delete this.

So far he hasn't crossed the line. If it was his first post he probably would be warned.

I was comparing to the box stores as well as Grainer and a few other online sites others have mentioned.

I am a weekend warrior, so I do not purchase a significant amount of wire (usually just go to Lowes or HomeDepot). Anyone know of a supply house in Harrisburg, PA?

Did not intend to include a link, just wanted to make sure the readers were aware of the website. My apologies.

Grainger is a terrible place to use for checking on the price of a volatile commodity such as copper wire. I buy a fair amount from Grainger but copper wire is one item I would never buy from them.

I have to agree with Furd on copper wire at Grainger. The only thing I know of they are competitive on is definite purpose contactors. I never saw a link in the OP, but I have noticed the website he referenced advertises on this site.
