Cutler Hammer CH neutral lug issues.

I bought a Cutler Hammer CH neutral lug kit, so I could install a #2 neutral wire. My issue is, the mounting screw that is supplied with the kit, is 1/4-20. The screws on neutral bar in the panel, are 5/16-24. I cannot find 5/16-24 flat head Phillips machine screws anywhere. I did see however, that Square D makes their lug kits with two prongs, so they fit under the screws already on the neutral bar. Would it be a violation or safety issue, to use the Square D in the the Cutler Hammer panel? Thanks. John.

No. If the prongs on that adapter lug fit the spacing on your neutral bus, you should be good to go.
