DOOR BELL, transformer no chimes
THE DOOR BELL is Not working in my sister house. After changing out the front bell button and transformer, and still no sound. I Realized what I thought was the chime ended up being the security bell. Next to that was a plate. Inside was 2 seperate Wires both HAVING A red and white wires in cased. The door button is red and white. THE WIRES TO THE BACKSIDE OF THE Transformer 2 black and 2red twisted connected to the transformer. OUT SIDE RED AND WHITE HOOKED TO THE FRONT SIDE OF THE TRANSORMER. WHEN I TAKE ONE OF THE INCASEd wire and put to the f and T THE BELLRINGS BUT BUzes, the other does nothing. 1ST HOW CAN I TELL IF THIS IS THE WIRE I AM suppose to be using, 2nd THE DOOR BELL BUTTON DOES NOT LIGHT UP. HELP ME PLEASE

Welcome to the forum. Pleases Fix you caps-lock key before posting. It made your post very hard to read. I have tried but really just not sure what you are saying. Can you try again. Can you post a picture of the transformer you think is the chime transformer and a picture of the connections to it.

Basically there is a door button and a transformer, but not a chime box. I purchased a doorbell kit. I replaced what wa there from the box, now I am trying to figure if the wires I found behind the plate is where I attach the chime box. If so out of the 2 wires which have 2 wire in eah which one or ones do I use.

The wires with yellow wire nuts are your 120 volts to the transformer. The screws on the face of the transformer or low voltage to the chime. One of those wires goes to the common of the door chime. The other goes to the bell and then back to the "F" on your door chime.
