3-conductor 240V outlet on a subpanel
I'm wiring a 240V, three-conductor outlet for a welder in the garage. I'll run a dedicated circuit for the outlet. The breaker box is a subpanel.
When I wire the third conductor, do I wire it to neutral, or to ground? This doesn't matter in a main panel since ground and neutral are bonded in the main panel, but this is the first time I've faced this situation on a subpanel.
