Electrical light between two ceiling fans

My living room has two ceiling fans. Both use those little chandelier bulbs that just aren't bright enough to handle things. Is it a code violation to put a light halfway between the two fans and have them all on the same circuit?

I hear you, I hate those candelabra bulbs.

Nope, no problem with what you propose (assuming you have ensure the blades of the fans will not hit any part of the new light).

The fans are around 8 feet apart...it looks as though even at the closest the blades don't get but 5 feet from each other. I take it the simple junction box should work?

Depends on the weight of what you intend to install but most fixtures just need a junction box.

You're right...I'm just wondering what's up there. I'd hate to have to brace it or something like that.
