Electric Stove rewire

I'm busy repairing an old stove, old wiring got "fiber"-type isolation. Can anybody advise me on what type of modern electric cord i'm suppose to use to do the internal wiring?

Welcome to the forums! Not sure how your stuff is wired in South Africa, nor what your resources are, but you can buy insulated wire that is made for stove repairs. I would suggest trying to use it, and not use regular wire. It helps keep the heat from melting the coating. Most repair wire is high temperature rated to begin with. Here is a source for reference, but I am not sure if they ship outside the US/Canada or not. Electronics Plus - Hard to find parts and accessories, available and ready to ship!

Type TGGT usually works pretty well....can be bought in most common sizes and is rated for high temperatures.
