Help me with DC
Hi guys, pls
This is my battery powered drill:
It is pretty old, but it is working fine except battery which lose charge very fast and you have to charge it often. So i decided to remove battery and connect (+) and (-) ends from battery charger adapter directly to the drill, and after some plastic cutting and wiring i did it:
After i did everything this is how it looks like:
and when i tested it i discovered that drill working very slowly, it is barely rotating and has no power. At this moment i realized that power adapter that was charging battery is not suitable to power up drill. SO now im stuck like this and i cannot put battery back because i already butchered battery housing. Since i don't understand electricity well i don't know what to do next.
This is its battery removed from housing:
it is written on it:"1.2V, 1200mAh" and it has 15 units connected in series.
and this is power adapter that was charging that battery (before i butchered it):
It is written on it:"INPUT: 230V~50Hz 20W, OUTPUT:18VDC 550mA"
Please help.

Welcome to the forums.
Honestly, if you are ok with your drill being plugged into the wall, I would go buy a new one - you can pick up a corded drill for very little cost these days.

The charger just can't supply the POWER needed to operate the drill. It is designed to slowly charge the batteries which STORE the accumulated power and release it as needed.
Your drill is toast.
As Mitch stated...if you are going to be tethered to an outlet....just buy a corded drill. You could probably buy 2 for the price of a single new battery.

I have this drill long time and i would feel bad if i throw it away. I just need some 18V AC to DC transformator with more power, only thing i cannot find one.

Can you not find a replacement battery? Many places can repair battery packs if new ones are not available.

Some manufacturers of cordless tools offer plug-in power supplies that connect into the tool in the same way the battery pack does. Don't know if yours was one of those or not, but it doesn't matter now - unless you're ready to spend some serious money to have the drill put back together.
You could have replaced the individual batteries in the battery pack with new ones.
