Low and Line Voltage Question

Can I mix Line and Low voltage in the same box? For example I'm trying to light my basement with Incandescent bulbs over the seating area and Halogen bulbs over artwork on the walls. My question is can I run the main 20A current to dimmer light switches for the incandescent bulbs then jump to the next dimmer switch for the halogen lights in the same box?

Thanks

You really aren't mixing in the same box. The LV lights will be switched on the 120 volt side. You are controlling the input power with the switch.

Ok makes sense, I just wasn't sure if the switches could be in the same gang box. Does it matter which is first in the order? For instance can I start with the power going to Low voltage switch then jumping to a line voltage switch?

Yup, like pcboss said, you're really switching 120v fixtures. One (or multiple) of your fixtures just happens to have a transformer inside of it to run 12v lamps. From the wiring perspective, you're running and switching 120v.
