single pole light switch replaced

Instead of finding the old thread, I figured I'd just start a quick new one to say thanks to all those that gave me advice on my problem. What should have been a quick 30min job ending up being a week's worth of research and more research and then even more research. And since all the other lights in my house are controlled by single pole switches, I now know that I am capable of replacing one if need be. Barring any weird non-standard wiring that is.

Thanks again to ray2047, nashkat1, casualjoe, chandler, pjmax, and pcboss

Thank you for taking the time to come back on. This is sort of a hobby for me, but I really do like to think I have helped someone along the way.
